Must Have baby development toy! Jumperoo

Have you ever witnessed a small child (around 5-12 months old) turn into a giggle box as it bounced up and down happily seated inside a Jumperoo? If you haven't, you have missed out on sheer joy! It is so delightful to just sit & watch (& listen!) to the blissful coos, giggles & belly laughs as little boys & girls jump their way into the hearts of all who are near them. The concept in the Fisher-Price Rainforest Jumperoo was amazing as I put it together & stared at it in wonder thinking, "will this thing keep him occupied enough for me to get a little housework done?" After placing him inside the Jumperoo, I had to wonder no longer. It was a smashing hit! My son never stopped bouncing, never stopped laughing. He even cried when I tried to take him out! Lol!
The entertainment factor is definately there for both child and parents (or grandparents) alike. It has colorful toys within reach with playful animal characters that stimulate with texture, & reward with playful sounds after they touch them. Jumperoo is equipped with a sturdy, but comfortable seat cushon that can also be removed for laundering. I HIGHLY recommend this product for any & all caregivers out there who have a little one in need of some leg exercise, educational stimulation thru a developmental toy, or a fun place to be kept occupied while parent is in the mood to take a short break from baby duty. :) My father-in-law used to belly laugh watching my daughter jump when she was in it. She jumped so fast he thought she would launch herself to the moon! It is without a doubt the one TOP TOY MUST HAVE for our children when they are this age. With baby number three at 3 months now & growing fast, guess what we're going to be purchasing soon for our newest addition to the family? Hope you will enjoy seeing your little one delighted by the Jumperoo too. Blessings on your bundle of joy & their developmental stages. Check back with me for more great baby & Preschool product reviews in the coming weeks.

Will You Boldly Share Your Faith Like Our Great Leaders Of The Past?

The whole inspiration of our civilization springs from the teachings of Christ and the lessons of the prophets. To read the Bible for these fundamentals is a necessity of American life.
Herbert Hoover

It is exciting to think how many individuals throughout history have made a name for themselves as leaders in our country & have had the courage to give God the glory & acknowledge how much our world needs the guidance of God's Holy Word. I applaud these great leaders for saying what needed to be said & not being afraid to show their strong Christian beliefs. Too many people suffer from doubt when it comes down to standing up for what you believe in, or being willing to walk the walk & live out what God's Word asks us to do. These great leaders were not afraid to share their faith in God with all who would hear as a necessary & important element in our lives.

It is impossible to govern the world without God and the Bible.
George Washington

I'm thrilled to realize that these quotes are only a small sampling of the many great people in history who began leading by example as to how a Christian should live & how they should lead, for the sake of our country & the people who lived in and around their section of the world. Who lives in and around your world today? Are you in a position to influence others? No matter whether your opportunities in life right now are able to affect many or few, each one of those people are important to God, & we should live what we believe so that His light may shine to all men on this earth. Walk in the light of God's love & share His Words of hope any chance you get. I challenge you as your fellow sister in Christ, to encourage each other in God's love & by being His hands & feet today to someone who needs His presence in their lives. If you look, He will help guide you to who He needs you to reach out to today. May our Lord go before you & bless you my friends. Be encouraged by the example of our great leaders before us. If they can live for Jesus in today's world & not be ashamed to show it, then so can we. Praying for God's people to live their lives to the fullest & enjoy the blessing of the Lord for their faithfulness to Him.

In regard to this great book, I have but to say, it is the best gift God has given to man. All the good Savior gave to the world was communicated through this book. But for it we could not know right from wrong. All things most desirable for man's welfare, here and hereafter, are to found portrayed in it.

Abraham Lincoln

Hold fast to the Bible as the sheet-anchor of your liberties; write its precepts in your hearts and practice them in your lives. To the influence of this book we are indebted for all the progress made in true civilization, and to this we must look as our guide in the future. Righteousness exalteth a nation; but sin is a reproach to any people.
Ulysses S. Grant

When is your Next Family Adventure?

Springtime activities for the family can be the highlight of your kid's year if you take a little time to plan ahead. There are lots of great ideas floating around for weekend getaways for families, one day trips, even short outings that can be done in a hour or two. Here in the heart of FL tourism, we have endless options for fun & entertainment with places like Disney, Universal, Seaworld, Gatorland, & the Holy Land Experience if you're interested in a family vacation or have the blessing of living here already & just want a day trip. Not everyone in the country is privileged to such a vast number of family fun options right in their town, but if you look hard enough you are sure to find a large span of delightful choices to refresh your spirit & enhance your family togetherness. Upon a thorough brainstorming session & some passionate searching you will probably find some of these choices available during parts of the year that are suitable short excursions: some type of park, playground, lakefront, beach, movie theater, mall, traveling carnival, library event, circus, concert, broadway style show or school play, dinner theater, miniature golf, go carts, arcade, indoor playland, magic shows, community dance class like Zumba, or you may even have to get creative & take the kids on a nice picnic somewhere & go fly kites. Day trips could include places of interest that are either local or within an hour or two of your hometown. Here are a few suggtested themes to look into: sporting events such as baseball, basketball, football, or hockey games; Nascar races, horseback riding on trails, train ride tours, Disney on Ice, special public speakers, town fairs, trade shows, health & fitness events, zoo, aquarium, children's museum, botanical gardens, or other historical or educational museum. No matter how much time you have available to invest into a family activity, the point is to have one and try to have them often. It will go a long way towards your child's happiness & yours. Now go ahead & have fun planning that next family adventure together! You'll be glad you did!

The Dream is Realized and in View!

Greetings from Sunny Florida!
The Dream is realized and finally in view! I'm still in shock and awe to think that we have actually made it here to Florida after many years of patiently waiting on God's timing, yet here I stand...happy and content. I love the weather right now with the cool breeze and temperatures in the upper 70s to mid 80s. Its still warm enough to wear shorts and go swimming if you wish, but not so hot that I need the air conditioner in the car (since our air compressor died).
My hopes to get outside and enjoy the fresh air with the kids is completely fulfilled as we get outside daily for hours at a time. There are so many wonderful local parks and free or inexpensive activities ...we just love it! As a homeschool mom, almost all of my time is spent searching for ideas to help educate my children in fun and creative ways. We take field trips, frequent the library, attend festivals and arts and crafts shows, surf the web and just explore the outdoors. Our bookwork is still required and lesson time usually takes place during lunch or in the evenings after my toddler is in bed. We haven't had too much trouble keeping our son ahead of pace as his personal desire to learn is so great and motivates him to enjoy his own research projects and discoveries. Educational dvds from the library system have been invaluable as there are so many to choose from and we have found them to be most helpful with our studies on the inventors and scientists. My son is going to begin a column in our blog about all his educational viewings of dvds and vhs or tv shows and give them a brief review and rating from his personal viewpoint. Hope you enjoy them!
Life in the deep south is very different yet very rewarding at the same time. We are thankful for so many things God has provided for us and continues to lead us towards the ultimate plan for our lives in His service. Right now we are pleasantly acquainted with many members of our new church family and have started to really get involved with teaching in Awanas and helping out with other forms of ministry. My husband enjoyed recently doing some drama/service by playing the part of Joseph, 2nd in command of all of Egypt from the Bible times as the Awana program celebrated a special event for the kids called Joseph's Egyptian Storehouse. It was a fun event and all the clubbers seemed to get a kick out of seeing him in costume and handing out baked goodies to all the students. Our son had fun seeing Dad in costume and I'm sure it was good for him to see the example of a father serving in ministry with a happy heart. Lead by example is what my Dad used to tell me...be the Eagle not the duck...anyone can follow...it takes someone with heart and determination to be a leader...these great encouraging words of advice were a true blessing to a once shy, quiet, yet bright and optimistic young lady....if Dad could only see me and my family of dramatic outspoken leaders now! He would probably think we were silly, happy and a little bit nuts, but I think he would proudly share in our ministry opportunities if he could. He always liked seeing us helping out with ministry opportunities for kids and I think that both my parent's own example of serving in the church with a happy heart led me to a life of service for our King too. Thanks mom (and dad)...I love you both very much and I praise God for you!
Our dream to live a fuller life for Jesus with more family time with the kids, more exercise and healthy eating, more fresh air and sunshine, more emphasis on family devotions and family ministry or community service together, and less time worrying about tomorrow...knowing God promises tomorrow will take care of itself. This dream is coming true piece by piece and I'm so grateful to our Lord and King for all He has done for us. May your personal goals and dreams as a family be within view and ready for you to reach out and grab them with both hands as I believe God wants us to "live the dream" as long as it begins with HIM. :)
